Start Acting Locally and the Rest Will Come

I was fortunate to have a conversation with Naomi Oreskes in April last year. I was struck by her introduction to Pope Francis in the Encyclical on Climate Change and Inequality, and then Merchants of Doubt and The Collapse of Western Civilization. As I reflect on our conversation it seems more timely and urgent than ever as she speaks to what individual action looks like and the role of local and federal governments. While hope may seem fleeting at times, she is consistent and optimistic throughout that we can fix this thing called climate change.

After hearing Naomi, do you agree with her about the role of government and the role of people in tackling climate change?
