Our vision is a healthy, peaceful, and sustainable Morien Bay community where residents can live free from harmful industrial impacts. We envision a future in which government, industry, and citizens work together to protect the environment, uphold community well-being, and ensure that economic development supports both people and the environment for generations to come.
Mission
The Cow Bay Environmental Coalition is a non-partisan community group in the Morien Bay area of Cape Breton (formerly known as Cow Bay), dedicated to protecting the health, well-being, and environment of local residents. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we raise awareness about the environmental and health impacts of the Donkin Coal Mine and work toward sustainable, people-centered solutions.
